Pine Crest Middle School Chorus members traveled to New York City recently to embark on a thrilling performance tour, highlighted by a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall under the direction of renowned choral conductor Dr. Brandon Boyd.
Beyond the stage, students immersed themselves in Broadway magic, attending “The Lion King” and participating in an exclusive workshop with a longtime cast member who shared insights from 24 years and 8,000 performances. Students also explored iconic landmarks, including Top of the Rock and Ellen’s Stardust Diner, where aspiring Broadway stars perform while serving guests.
This tour was a milestone performance opportunity and an enriching educational experience, offering students first-hand exposure to the professional world of music and theater.
