Pine Crest Upper School Students Earn Top Honors in 2026 Congressional Art Competition

Pine Crest student-artists earned outstanding recognition in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition, marking the fourth consecutive year the School has produced a first-place winner in the prestigious national program.

Lilyanna Zameska ’28 received First Place for her piece, “My Dearest.” As the top winner, Lilyanna will travel to Washington, D.C. for a national recognition ceremony on June 25, and her artwork will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year.

Additional Pine Crest honorees included:

  • Third Place: Sonia Shah ’26 – “Petals and Prettiness”
    (to be displayed at Coral Springs City Hall for one year)
  • Honorable Mention: Sloane Irvin ’26 – “A Return to Normalcy”
  • Honorable Mention: Lauren Hayes ’26 – “Turn Back Time”
  • Honorable Mention: Audrey Rao ’27 – “Apple of Your Eye”

The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide visual arts competition sponsored annually by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, recognizing exceptional artistic talent among high school students across the country.

These recognitions reflect Pine Crest’s continued excellence in the arts and the School’s commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking and artistic expression across disciplines.
