Pine Crest Upper School student-athlete Elizabeth Sauby ’27 earned the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) State Championship in the javelin.
The championship marks Elizabeth’s third career state medal in the event and further solidifies her place among the top javelin throwers in the country. She currently ranks #6 nationally in the Class of 2027 and holds all Pine Crest school records in the javelin.
Teammate Rowan Sundevall ’26 also delivered an exceptional performance, earning the State Runner-Up medal in the javelin. Rowan later added another medal-winning finish by placing 7th in discus, marking the first state discus medal of her career.
Together, Elizabeth and Rowan helped lead the Pine Crest girls track and field team to a top-10 finish in the state.
