In addition to a strong core curriculum, every student at Pine Crest is exposed to robotics, computer science, engineering and entrepreneurship concepts, all of which are rooted in creativity and curiosity.
Beginning in Lower School, students learn programming languages to stimulate their computational thinking. Middle School students write programs and applications in Python, utilizing virtual reality and artificial intelligence in their daily learning experiences. Upper School students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement (AP) and Post-AP Computer Science courses such as Artificial Intelligence. In addition, Upper School students may enroll in Science Research and Social Entrepreneurship. These three-year signature programs focus on exploring social impact projects connected to various topics, including computer science, engineering and artificial intelligence. We are committed to thoughtfully integrating cutting-edge technology while preserving our core values of academic excellence, character development and personalized learning.
Having begun implementing artificial intelligence into our curriculum in 2022 alongside the development of the 2024-29 Strategic Plan, the use of AI is woven into programming throughout all divisions on both campuses.
