Three (3) Pine Crest School students received 2026 Broward County Non-Public School Association Pinnacle Awards for their outstanding character and serving as role models within the School community.

Pinnacle Award recipients are selected for demonstrating excellence in areas such as academics, athletics, fine arts, citizenship, community service, perseverance, leadership and overall attitude. Congratulations to this year’s Pine Crest honorees: Marius Garbayo Ante ’33, Julianna Zadeh ’30, and Edward (Eddie) Wang ’27.

Marius ’33 is an exceptional Lower School student whose compassion, responsibility and kindness make him a true role model. Marius consistently goes above and beyond in the classroom, often staying after school to help clean and support his classmates. A consummate learner and collaborative teammate, he approaches his work with perseverance and enthusiasm. Marius is also a member of the Lower School Orchestra and an accomplished sailor who competes nationally and is currently training for the Junior Olympics. Whether in academics, athletics or friendships, Marius leads with integrity, a strong work ethic and a positive spirit.

Julianna ’30 is an extraordinarily kind, hard-working and high-achieving Middle School student. Teachers praise her thoughtful nature and academic strength, as well as her deep curiosity about the world around her. Julianna recently discovered a passion for photography and can often be found capturing sunrises or scenes from nature. She is also devoted to theater, studying both stage and film acting, and even teaching a weekly theater class to first graders. A traditional dancer who performs at major venues, Julianna balances her many pursuits with compassion and dedication. She approaches every aspect of her life with empathy, creativity and a genuine desire to help others.

Eddie ’27 is an outstanding Upper School student whose intellect, work ethic and infectious positivity set him apart. Eddie consistently challenges himself academically and demonstrates a remarkable ability to apply his learning to real-world contexts. Despite his many achievements, he remains humble and supportive of his peers, fostering a welcoming and collaborative classroom environment. Beyond academics, Eddie excels on stage as an award-winning member of both the Orchestra and Chorus. He is also a member of the three-year Social Entrepreneurship Program, one of Pine Crest’s three-year signature programs. His leadership, humility and enthusiasm for learning make him an inspiring presence both in and out of the classroom.

Congratulations, Marius, Julianna and Eddie!
