Pine Crest Upper School student-artist Michelle Xie ’28 earned the "Best Drawing" designation in the 2025 Congressional Artistic Discovery Art Competition for high school students in Florida's 25th district.

The competition is an annual contest sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives in which every congressional district selects a winning piece of artwork from a local high school student to hang in the U.S. Capitol. This year, Maya Todorov ’26 was the 23rd district's first place recipient.

Michelle was recognized with the other 25th district winners at the Don Taft University Center last April.

Congratulations, Michelle!
