Pine Crest Upper School student Maya Todorov ’26 won first place in the 2025 Congressional Artistic Discovery Art Competition for high school students in Florida's 23rd district.
The competition is an annual contest sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives in which every congressional district selects a winning piece of artwork from a local high school student.
Maya’s work, “Maestro,” will hang in the United States Capitol Building for one year. “This is one of the highest honors art students can achieve,” said Mr. Nino Liguori, Upper School Art Instructor.
This marks three consecutive years of Pine Crest student-artists winning this honor, two in District 23 and one in District 20.
In addition to Maya’s recognition, Erin Larned ’27 and Audry Rao ’27 tied for third place in the competition.
Congratulations to all!
