Pine Crest School has been named the Strength of America award recipient by The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) for the three-year period of 2025-28.

The Strength of America Award honors schools that exhibit the highest standards in the safety and success of young athletes.

Schools who are granted the Strength of America Award have demonstrated excellence to teach, implement, and encourage safe and effective strength and conditioning programs.

By winning this award, it shows the dedication Pine Crest School has to ensure the safety of young athletes through the education and promotion of best-practices when training on the field and in the weight room.

“This award is a testament to the work and dedication of our Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Coach Mike Hlatki, Coach Micaela Von Essen and Coach Jacey Kuhlman,” said Dr. Jeff Johnson, Athletic Director. “They work with Middle and Upper School students daily, implementing the highest standard of performance training.”

The Award is based on four major categories: Supervision, Education, Program and Facilities. Pine Crest’s strength and conditioning program has achieved the NSCA’s high standards for providing athletes with the best opportunity to improve their athletic performance based upon the level of supervision, program implementation and the condition of facilities.
