Pine Crest Upper School Student Named Gold Recipient in Technology by Hispanic Heritage Foundation

Pine Crest Upper School student Jessica Schmilovich ’26 has been named a Gold Recipient in the Technology Category by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s 2025 Youth Awards, one of the nation’s most prestigious recognitions for high school seniors.

Selected from nearly 35,000 applicants nationwide, Jessica is one of only 10 Gold recipients in the Technology category and represents the Green Region, which includes Florida and Georgia. This distinction recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence, leadership and a strong commitment to service in their communities.

The Technology category specifically honors students advancing future-focused ideas that strengthen communities through responsible innovation and ethical technology development. As a Gold recipient, Jessica will also receive a one-time educational grant in recognition of her achievements.

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Awards celebrate outstanding Latino high school leaders from across the country and highlight the next generation of changemakers shaping the future of innovation, entrepreneurship and community impact.
