Pine Crest Upper School student Ulyana Sharapova ’26 was recognized on a national stage this summer as a Gold Key Award Winner in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, one of the most prestigious creative competitions for students in the United States.

Ulyana received her National Gold Medal in Writing during the 2025 Scholastic Awards National Ceremony held at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The award honors student-writers whose original works demonstrate exceptional skill, voice and vision in creative expression.

Each year, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards receive hundreds of thousands of submissions from across the country, with only a small percentage earning national-level recognition. Ulyana’s achievement places her among the top young writers in the nation.

Congratulations, Ulyana!
