Pine Crest Upper School broadcast students earned a top honor at the 2025 Suncoast Student Production Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. 

The ceremony, held at the University of Miami School of Communication, was co-hosted by CBS anchor and Pine Crest alumna Lauren (Granado) Pastrana ’05, who gave Pine Crest a warm shout-out during the broadcast.

The “Will Gabrielle Spot Feature” by Austin Stanise ’25, Sam Anidjar ’26 and Dashiel Berk ’26 won in the Arts / Entertainment / Cultural Affairs category. Their piece competed against nine other official selections and was one of just three recognized with a statuette. The competition is judged by industry professionals and run by the same organization that presents the Emmy Awards.

Since its debut, the “Will Gabrielle Spot Feature” has earned multiple accolades:

  • 2024 All Florida, Florida Scholastic Press Association Spring Digital Contest
  • 2024 1st Place, STN Nationals – Human Interest Feature Story, Division I
  • 2024 Official Selection, All American High School Film Festival (screened at AMC Empire 25 in Times Square)
  • 2025 Suncoast Student Production Award Winner
