A group of 26 Pine Crest Upper School students in the three-year Social Entrepreneurship program and six faculty members recently participated in the inaugural Pine Crest and London School of Economics (PCLSE) Pre-College Global Entrepreneurship Program.

For one week, students were immersed in a challenging series of sessions designed to build entrepreneurial thinking, leadership and business acumen. Highlights included:

Startup Strategy Workshops exploring financial modeling and AI-driven validation tools.

Tech Confidence Training focused on no-code tools and technical fluency.

LEGO Serious Play helping students articulate business visions.

Product Development Bootcamps where students developed real-world solutions.

Founder Hour with Nick Greenhalgh, Co-Founder and CEO of Luca Health, who shared his pivot from professional sports to head health tech

Lunch and Learn with Professor Paul Dolan of LSE, exploring behavioral economics and decision-making frameworks.

Failure Fair, where students reframed setbacks as leadership growth.

Fireside Chat with Joel Perlman, Co-Founder of OakNorth, the creator of the ON Credit Intelligence Suite, the industry’s first Machine Learning (ML)-powered, data-driven technology that gives commercial lenders a forward looking, 360-degree view of their borrowers, on AI, lending and scaling tech ventures.

Start-up of the Year Competition, where students observed top-tier LSE entrepreneurs pitch their ventures

Throughout the week, students worked directly with LSE professors, founders and venture leaders, gaining insight, confidence and real-world experience.

This program reflects what is possible when institutions come together with a bold vision and a commitment to reimagining education.
