Pine Crest Upper School students in the three-year science research program recently presented their original research at the International Forum for Excellence in Research (IFoRE).
Pine Crest students were recognized with first place awards for their outstanding work in the student research competition:
Maya Peles ’26 – 1st Place, Microbiology and Molecular Biology
“Identifications of RNAs that bind to huntingtin (HTT) and mutant huntingtin (mHtt) by APEX2 Labeling / RNA sequencing”
Victoria Chang ’27 – 1st Place, Physiology and Immunology

Kobi Weitzman ’27 – 1st Place, Physics and Astronomy

In addition to presenting in speaker and poster sessions, Pine Crest students gained valuable feedback from professionals and connected with peers from across the country. Their performance highlights the strength of Pine Crest’s research curriculum and the passion these students bring to advancing scientific knowledge.
