Awards & Achievements Arts

Twenty-two (22) Pine Crest Upper School visual art students have been recognized by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers for their original artwork. Together, Pine Crest students earned 15 Gold Keys, 10 Silver Keys, and 22 Honorable Mentions.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Through the Awards program, the Alliance, whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent, offers teens the opportunity to receive a scholarship and have their work exhibited and published.

Gold Key entries are automatically considered for national awards, which include Gold Medal, Silver Medal with Distinction, Silver Medal, and direct scholarship awards. National winners will be announced in March.

Students who received recognition for their original written work will be recognized separately.
