Pine Crest Upper School student-athlete Clayton Finney ’20 has earned the Brian Piccolo Award for scholar-athletes.

Named after the late NFL player and South Florida native Brian Piccolo, the award recognizes senior athletes from Broward County schools who excel in the classroom as well as on the football field.

“As a Captain of the football team,” said Ladell Betts, Head Football Coach, “Clayton was one of the hardest working and most respected members of the team. He is the epitome of leadership by example.”

After being nominated and being one of four students considered for the award, Clayton was named the winner and addressed an audience of more than 100 families, students, administrators, and Broward County School Officials during a virtual awards ceremony.

Congratulations, and GO PANTHERS!
