Four (4) Pine Crest School students, Holden Altro ’29, Stella Burkhardt ’29, Penelope Kirkbride ’29 and Alexandra Tournoy ’29, have been named among the Top 300 Junior Innovators in the 2025 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (JIC).

Selected from a pool of 1,890 entries nationwide, these students join a group of middle school science and engineering scholars whose projects stood out for their creativity, innovation and scientific rigor. This national recognition places them among the most promising young scientists in the United States.

The next round of the competition will take place on September 17, when 30 finalists will be selected from the Top 300 and invited to Finals Week in Washington, D.C.

Congratulations and good luck!
