Upper School Awards & Achievements


Pine Crest Upper School student-journalist Avery Holzer ’24 placed second in the Private School Journalism Association (PSJA) Journalism Contest in the News Writer of the Year category.

The PSJA Journalism Contest is a portfolio contest that honors a pattern of excellence over the course of a year. The Contest is co-sponsored by Quill and Scroll, which recognizes journalism produced by private and independent school students.

Avery is the Chief Copy Editor of the Upper School yearbook, “The Crestian.” He received recognition for his work on the 2023 edition of the yearbook to be distributed to students in May 2023.
