Pine Crest Upper School Social Science Instructor Mrs. Trish Everett has been named Teacher of the Year by the American Lawyers Alliance (ALA).

The ALA is a national organization affiliated with the American Bar Association, whose aim is to promote civic- and law-related education.

Mrs. Everett has been teaching for 16 years, seven of them at Pine Crest. Her work as an educator extends her time in the classroom, as she serves on the advisory boards of the National Constitution Center and the Center for Civic Education, and has been a mentor teacher for the James Madison Legacy Project.

"Her passion for her profession radiates in every interaction," said Christopher Riano, President of the Center for Civic Education.

Congratulations, Mrs. Everett!
