Pine Crest School alumni Jared Gould ’20 and Alice Rau ’20 have been named semifinalists in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964 to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Application to the Program is by invitation only. A committee evaluates candidates on their academic achievement, personal characteristics, leadership and service activities, recommendation, and an analysis of their essay.

Each year, approximately 800 candidates are named semifinalists who are then forwarded to the Commission of Presidential Scholars for further review. The Commission selects up to 161 U.S Presidential Scholars for recognition.
