Middle School Awards & Achievements

Pine Crest Middle School students Trent Medrano ’25 and Jack Bendrao ’25 have been recognized as top teams from South Florida in the SIFMA Foundation's Stock Market Game.

The Stock Market Game is an online simulation of the global capital markets that engages students grades four through twelve in the world of economics, investing, and personal finance.

Teams are given $100,000 of virtual money to spend in the platform. Trent and Jack were able to double the money, making them a top team in the competition.

“Throughout the school year, Trent and Jack have been doing extensive research on which stocks to buy,” said Ms. Myrielle Badio, Pine Crest Math Instructor. “They would only buy stocks that they believed in and watched their performance closely. They would constantly debate on which stocks to buy and which stocks to sell.”

Congratulations!
