Middle School Awards & Achievements

Fourteen (14) Pine Crest Lower and Middle School robotics teams from the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale campuses competed in the VEX Robotics state competition recently.

Students and faculty coaches have been working toward this event since August of this school year, with Pine Crest serving as a host site for the eight preliminary tournaments.

In addition to the individual skills and programming challenges, the students participated in eight teamwork matches.. Students developed coding, engineering, sportsmanship, leadership, communication, and collaboration skills throughout the robotics season.

At the competition, Pine Crest teams worked collaboratively with teams from other schools to develop a strategy for the teamwork challenges. The teams also programmed their robots to score as many points as possible on the field autonomously with limited human interaction.

At the end of the competition, the Pine Crest teams earned 11 awards with 10 teams moving on to the VEX Robotics World competition being held in May 2022.

Congratulations to all!
