Built in the U.S. by Vespoli, the racing shell brings Pine Crest's boat house fleet to 19.

"'Dedication' describes so many aspects of our sport," said David Fisher, Director of Pine Crest's Rowing Program. "The dedicated athlete who spends countless hours on the erg and attending morning practices. The dedication of being a full-time student and placing focus and drive in and out of the classroom. Dr. Markham decided years ago that she would dedicate her life to education and the betterment of young people. As our President, she has supported our team in many ways and continues to offer her support as we continue to grow as a team and as a family."

"It is a tremendous honor to have this racing shell carry my name," said Dr. Markham. "Pine Crest rowers and their families share a camaraderie that is unique.  I have had the opportunity to meet many rowing alumni, and I know first-hand how crew remains a part of your lives after 'The Pine.'"

Pine Crest boys varsity rowers will first compete with the Dr. Dana Markham in a regatta scheduled for March 2015. GO PANTHERS!
