Pine Crest Middle School student John Castle ’28 has placed first in the region for seventh grade students in the International Geography competition sponsored by International Academic Competitions US Division.

The International Geography Bee is a buzzer-based geography quiz competition for individual students. Qualification begins with the Online Regional Qualifying Exam, which students must pass to be invited. Students who pass move on to the Regional Finals.

Placing first in the region for his grade, John has now been invited to compete at the National Championships in Washington, D.C. this June.
