Congratulations on your acceptance and enrollment in Pine Crest School. We look forward to having you join our community for the upcoming school year. Below is a checklist of the items you need to complete between Spring 2019 and the beginning of the 2019-20 School year.
Welcome to the Pine Crest School community! Parents, once you sign your enrollment contract(s) and submit your enrollment deposit(s), you are officially part of the Pine Crest family. This is an exciting time to be a Pine Crest Panther!
T-shirts and Pine Crest spirit items may be purchased through the Campus Store online and shipped, or in person on both campuses during regular store hours. To access the Campus Store online, click here.
Lower School Division Heads will mail a letter to each student's home(s) with class assignments the week before the start of school. Students will have an opportunity to visit their classrooms and teachers before the first day of school.
Middle and Upper School students attend a registration day specific to the class year to receive their schedules, including course and teacher assignments.
Lower School parents will register for their child’s during and after school extracurricular activities in September. Middle School students will select during and after school activities at the beginning of the school year.
Families should receive 2019-20 Health Forms in the mail in May 2019. Click here for a copy of the checklist and Health Form. Parents should schedule a primary care physician physical for their child(ren); have the 2019-20 Health Form filled out and signed by a doctor; have the Form notarized; and return the Health Form to school by Friday, June 28, 2019.
The Pine Crest School Learning Network is a collaborative group of Learning Specialists and other professionals who work with students in all grade levels to help develop the cognitive abilities, creativity, and critical thinking skills necessary to become successful 21st century learners.
The Learning Specialists are comprised of Certified Teachers, Reading Specialists, Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and Licensed Occupational Therapists as well as other professionals.
Lunch is included in tuition. Dining halls on both campuses offer age-appropriate, healthy lunch options every school day. If a student has special dietary needs, please contact the Health Office and/or the Division Office.
A current family is assigned to your family to be your guide through your first year at Pine Crest School. If someone does not reach out to you by the end of June 2019, please contact the Office of Admission.
All parents are members of Pine Crest School's parents' associations. The Boca Raton campus association is called the Boca Raton Parents' Association. The Fort Lauderdale campus has two parents' associations: The Lower School Family Association for Lower School families, and the Middle and Upper School Parents' Association for Middle and Upper School families. Parents' associations host monthly meetings with guest speakers and events throughout the year to establish and maintain a sense of community in support of students.
Parking on both campuses is at a premium. Parents are asked to follow carpool procedures for pick up and drop off. Parking for emergencies, appointments, and events is available in the visitor’s lot on the Boca Raton campus and in the visitor's parking garage on the Fort Lauderdale campus. All visitors, including parents, must check in at the security desk before entering campus.
Upper School students with a driver's license may park at school. Information regarding parking passes is distributed by Upper School in the spring for the following academic year.
Registration for Pine Crest Summer is now open, with a wide variety of options for students in grades pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. Sign up for one week or the entire summer. Programs take place from Monday, June 10 to Friday, August 9.
A placement test for Upper School Math and World Language will take place on Monday, August 19, 2019 for new students who did not take the placement test in May 2019.
Prior to the test date, students should contact the Office of Admission at email@example.com or 954-492-4103 for details and to let us know which course — Spanish I or Latin I — you will take. For students currently taking a World Language class, we will assume you will continue with the same subject at Pine Crest, unless you advise us otherwise.
During Preview, students become familiar with the campus, classroom, teachers, and schedule. Preview will take place on Thursday, August 15 and Friday, August 16 in the morning for new students entering grades pre-kindergarten through grade eight on the Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton campuses. Details will be emailed to each parent from the Office of Admission over the summer.
In addition to Preview, each Division hosts an orientation or registration event before the first day to give students an opportunity to meet their teachers, see their classroom, and/or pick up their schedules and get their locker assignments. Details on orientation and registration will be emailed to each parent by the Division Head several weeks before the start of school.
Lands' End School Uniforms is Pine Crest School's uniform vendor. To order, go to www.landsend.com/school. Pine Crest's School Number is 900181603. It is not necessary to enter a specific campus. For 24/7 customer service, call Land's End at 800-469-2222. Reference the School Number and your child's grade level.
Parents' Associations host gently used uniform sales throughout the year. In Boca Raton, the Parents' Association hosts an inventory of uniforms through "Twice But Nice." Fort Lauderdale parents' associations host the "Cub Closet" (Lower School) and "Panther Closet" (Middle and Upper School).
