The Culture of Safety and Security
At Pine Crest School, protecting our students physically and emotionally while preserving our educational environment is of utmost importance. Responsibility for school safety and security is not limited to law enforcement or school personnel. Everyone in our community plays a role, from checking in with security when arriving to campus, to wearing an identification badge at all times while on campus and adhering to drop-off and pick-up protocols. The safety and security of our students is our priority.

Our Security Program
Our security program has been recognized as a model for independent schools by private security companies and law enforcement agencies throughout the country. Teachers, administrators, and staff participate in situational awareness
and preventative defense
training, and emergency preparedness drills. Employees are equipped with communication tools, such as two-way radios and campus phone all-page, for emergency preparedness and response.
In cooperative partnerships with the Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton Police Departments, our Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton campuses are secured 24 hours per day, 7 days per week by uniformed, trained, and certified personnel. Each Pine Crest security team member has prior security, law enforcement, and/or military experience, and is trained to respond to all emergencies, administer CPR and AED, and assist in traffic control.
All employees, contractors, and vendors complete an extensive background check and wear photo identification badges while on the premises. Security officers monitor both campuses with closed circuit television cameras and alarm systems, and patrol with marked units, including Segways®, bicycles, golf carts, and patrol cars.
