Training emphasizes proper technique, age-appropriate progression and whole-body development, ensuring students grow stronger while learning how to move safely and effectively.

A Developmental Approach to Strength Training

Beginning in Middle School, students have opportunities to participate in strength and conditioning as part of their physical education experience. At this stage, the focus is on building physical literacy; learning how to control movement, develop coordination and establish a strong foundation for a wide range of athletic activities.

At the Upper School level, strength training becomes a key component of athletic preparation. Student-athletes are encouraged to incorporate performance training into their routines, whether they are in season, out of season or pursuing personal fitness goals.

Personalized Support for Every Student

Students are evaluated before beginning any training program to ensure instruction aligns with their goals, experience and abilities. From there, performance staff guide students through personalized training plans that support both athletic performance and overall fitness in a safe, supportive environment.

The training spaces are designed to be welcoming and accessible, reinforcing that strength training is for all students.
