Title: Creativity with Code - Agency Through Ownership
Session Description: As so much more content continues to develop in the STEM field, our job as 21st Century educators is to ask ourselves, “How and why do educators embrace and instill creativity in our students?” Driven by this overarching essential question, James Robinson, Training Manager of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, will share his experience on how developing a computer science continuum prepares today’s students for the demands of the rapidly changing field of technology. James will focus on what creativity in computer science means, how educators around the world approach creativity to improve students’ outcomes not only in computer science but also to achieve academic excellence, and how 21st century students balance creative expression within the scope of formal curriculum.

"Pine Crest Innovation Institute was one of the best professional development I have attended. It was inspiring to be at a school that is leading the way in innovation and maker education. Meeting faculty, administrators and students who eagerly shared their projects and passions was invaluable. The workshops were diverse and made it very hard to choose which ones to attend. I would recommend going with a least one other colleague so you can learn even more."
