Information for Summer at Pine Crest

We look forward to welcoming you to your Summer at Pine Crest! Now that you have registered, please complete the following steps before your first day of camp. If you have any questions please contact us.

3 Steps:
  1. Complete Health Form and fax to the Health Office, Boca Raton at 561-852-2835, or Fort Lauderdale at 954-492-4131. You may also scan and email the form to Nurse Cathy Hartney in Boca Raton, or Nurse Natalie Fairbanks in Fort Lauderdale. 
  2. Register for Transportation (Optional) - Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale.
  3. Register for Extended Day (Optional) - Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale.

  • Why do parents choose Pine Crest Summer Programs and Pine Crest Day Camp (PCDC) for their children?

  • What should my child bring to camp?

    Campers should have a bathing suit and towel every day. 
    We recommend campers also bring:
    • sunscreen
    • hat/visor
    • change of clothes
    • water bottle
    • plastic bag for wet clothes
    We ask that campers leave the following items at home:
    • music players
    • tablets/e-readers
    • personal game systems
    • headphones
    • toys, balls or stuffed animals
    • chewing gum, candy
  • What should I do if I need to pick up my camper early?

    Please call the Summer Camp Office in advance.

  • Do you accept campers who are not Pine Crest students?

    Yes! We invite campers from all over to join Pine Crest Summer Programs and Day Camp.
  • Is there a camp uniform?

    No, there is no uniform. We recommend campers wear loose, comfortable clothing, shorts, t-shirts, sneakers or closed-toe shoes.
  • What is new this summer?

    • Shuttle bus between campuses
    • Middle School build-your-own schedule, including dark room photography, drone piloting, Maker Faire, and more
    • Specialized Fine Arts intensives
    • Weight room strength training
     
  • When is Summer at Pine Crest?

    June 11 to August 10, 2018.*
    All programs operate, Monday through Friday.

    *Programs, ages, grade levels, and dates may vary by campus.

    Boca Raton
    Camp begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. You may begin drop off at 9:15 a.m. and pick up as late as 3:30 p.m. Extended Day is available before and after regular camp hours for an additional fee. All programs operate daily, Monday through Friday.

  • What grade levels can attend Summer at Pine Crest?

    Camps are open to the public for grades:
    • Boca Raton Campus: Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth
    • Fort Lauderdale Campus: Kindergarten through Twelve
  • How can my child travel between the Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton campuses to attend a specific summer program?

    New this year, Pine Crest will offer a school bus service between campuses.
  • Can I drop off my child early? Or pick-up late?

    Yes! Campers who are dropped off early and/or stay late will be involved with age-appropriate activities during those hours. The Pine Crest camp staff supervises campers, and a snack will be provided.

  • How do I register for Summer at Pine Crest?

    Summer camp online registration.
    1. Create a user account on CampBrain
    2. Select your student(s) grade level
    3. Register for available camp program(s)
    4. Submit payment
    5. Receive email confirmation
    6. Fill out medical forms. Medical forms must be completed and returned to the Summer before your child begins camp

  • How can my child take medication during the day?

    If your child needs to take medication during camp hours, please ensure this is indicated on the Health Form. Campers must have a Florida Physician/Practitioner order (prescription) for all medications needed to be taken during camp. If the medication is listed on the form, then the signed form is sufficient. 

    All campers must submit a completed Health Form.

    Pine Crest School students enrolled during the 2017-18 school year, do not need to submit a second Health Form for Summer.

  • What are the lunch and snack options?

    A variety of lunch choices including a hot meal, salad bar, deli bar, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are provided daily.

    All campers receive a morning and an afternoon snack each day.

    We realize that campers have varying diets, preferences, and requirements. While we offer a diverse menu, Pine Crest does not accommodate special diets related to allergies.
  • What are the transportation service options?

    Bus Transportation:
    Yes, Pine Crest Day Camp provides optional bus service throughout most of Broward County, select stops in North Miami/Aventura, and South Boca Raton.

    Transportation Fees:
    Bus service fees start at $63/week for A.M. or P.M., or $110/week for A.M. and P.M. 

    Shuttle Between Our Campuses:
    New this year, Pine Crest will offer shuttle bus service between campuses in the morning and afternoon to expand campers’ options.

Flexible Morning and Late Afternoon Options

Campers may be dropped off early and picked up late with Pine Crest summer staff supervision. A snack will be provided at afternoon extended day.

    Are you interested in a program offered at one campus but live or work closer to the other? To expand options for families, Pine Crest will offer a campus-to-campus school bus service in the mornings and afternoons. Bus service fees start at $63/week for one-way rides or $126/week for round-trip rides.
