Pine Crest School Swimming and Diving Teams Compete at the FHSAA State Championship Meet

Pine Crest School swimming and diving teams competed at the Florida High School Athletics Association (FHSAA) state championship meet recently.
The boys’ diving team earned the state championship title with Kevin Mendez ’22 and Denny Gulia-Janovski ’22 earning first and third place, respectively. This is Kevin’s third consecutive state championship title.

The boys’ swim team finished in fifth place and the girls’ were state runners-up. Both teams earned their highest scores since 2013 and 2007, respectively.

Andrea Santander ’20 earned the individual state championship for the 100-meter freestyle event.
 
Additionally, The following swimmers achieved All American Status:

Hanna Elks Smith ’22
Sandra Meszaros ’19
 
Middle School swimmers Julia Podkoscielny ’23 and Sara Lin ’24 also achieved the standard for All American, but are ineligible until they are in high school.
