MARCIA HUNT, Director of College and Academic Advising
Mrs. Marcia Hunt is the Director of Pine Crest's College and Academic Advising Office. A well-known expert in her field, Mrs. Hunt has received national-level recognition, including the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools' Excellence in Counseling award, which is their highest honor. She has served as president of the National Association of College Admission counseling, which has more than 15,000 members from high schools and colleges.
In addition, Mrs. Hunt has served on Advisory Boards for the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Michigan, and she currently serves on Advisory Boards of Drexel University, the University of South Carolina, and the University of Pennsylvania.
She is a member of the College Board National Guidance and Admission Assembly and the Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success Counselor Advisory Board, and in March 2016, she served on the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program Review Committee.
Most recently, Mrs. Hunt was elected to the Board of Trustees of the College Board. As the only independent college preparatory school member of the Board, Mrs. Hunt's election boosts Pine Crest's national reputation as a center of excellence, and it speaks volumes about her respect and reputation in the college counseling field.
Mrs. Hunt has built an extraordinary legacy at Pine Crest over the course of more than 35 years. She and her husband are the parents of two Pine Crest alumni.
