Pine Crest School Girls Lacrosse Coach and Physical Education teacher Demmianne Cook has been named to the 2026 Stony Brook University Athletics Rita & Kurt Eppenstein Hall of Fame in recognition of her collegiate lacrosse career.

Coach Cook, a 2013 Stony Brook graduate, holds the university’s career scoring record with 158 goals, including 90 goals during the 2013 season, when she led the nation in scoring. She also set a program record with 96 draw controls that season and helped lead Stony Brook to its first NCAA Tournament victory.

During her two seasons with the Seawolves, Coach Cook became the program’s first Tewaaraton Award nominee, earning a place on the award’s watchlist in both seasons. She also received multiple All-America honors.

Following her collegiate playing career, Coach Cook joined Team STX, the nation’s first elite post-collegiate women’s lacrosse team. She later returned to Stony Brook as a coach, helping guide the Seawolves to consecutive America East championships and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2014 and 2015.

Coach Cook has continued her success at Pine Crest, where she was named the 2026 Broward County Lacrosse Coach of the Year.

She was one of five honorees selected for Stony Brook’s 2026 Hall of Fame class, which was formally inducted on September 18.

Congratulations, Coach Cook!
