Pine Crest School Girls’ Cross Country Earns State Runner-Up Title

The Pine Crest School girls’ cross country team earned state runner-up at the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) cross country state championship meet recently.
Tsion Yared ’20 earned the individual state championship title, which was her third title and second consecutive championship. Tsion’s time of 17:26.63 was a 2A record-breaking time and was also the third fastest all-time at Apalachee Regional Park and 12th fastest all time in state meet history.

Emily Faulhaber ’20 finished the race with the third fastest time.

This was the seventh consecutive year making the podium at the state meet for the girls’ team, after back-to-back state titles in 2016 and 2017.

The boys’ team placed eighth at the meet, their eighth time finishing in the top 10 at the meet.

Additionally, Tsion and Emily Faulhaber ’20 earned all-state honors.
