Pine Crest Middle School Student Recognized by Prudential Spirit of Community Award

Pine Crest Middle School student Colin Wanless ’22 was selected as a Distinguished Finalist for the State of Florida for The Prudential Spirit of Community Service Award.
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States’ largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service.

Colin volunteers with Joshua’s Heart Foundation (JHF), a foundation that helps provide food for food-insecure individuals in South Florida. He started a Boca Raton chapter of JHF in 2015 to expand the organization's efforts. Colin has recruited 25 local students to join the board he leads for the Foundation, and together they have raised more than $10,000 to fight hunger, feeding more than 13,000 people.

Congratulations, Colin!
