Pine Crest Girls Varsity Tennis Wins State Tournament

Pine Crest School's girls varsity tennis team had un unprecedented 2015 season that culminated in the state 2A championship in Orlando on Thursday, April 16.
After going 9-1 during the regular season, the girls swept the district tournament and defeated the 2014 state champions Gulliver Prep 4-1 in the regional final.  At the state tournament, Pine Crest won at the #2, #3, #4, and #5 singles positions and also at the #2 doubles position accumulating 16 points compared to second place finisher Lake Highland Prep who had 10 points.  

Stephanie Taylor '17 made it to the semi-finals at #1 singles before succumbing to the eventual winner. Danielle Obolevitch '17 walked away with three medals for her wins at #2 singles, #2 doubles with partner Ines de  Bracamonte '15, and an overall team victory.  Kaely Malik '15 knocked off top seed Kaitlyn Ruether of Rockledge in the #3 singles position.  Carly Feldman '15 and Demi Snyder '19 won at the #4 and #5 singles positions, respectively.
