Pine Crest School Tennis Teams Earn District Championship Titles

The Pine Crest School boys’ and girls’ tennis teams earned their respective Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) district championship titles recently.
This was the 12th title for the girls’ team, the 6th for the boys’ team, and only the 3rd time they have won the same year.

Both teams advanced to the regional quarterfinal, where the girls’ team defeated SLAM Academy and the boys fell to Miami Jackson. The girls then lost a hard-fought match against Gulliver Prep, ending up as the region runner-up.

By winning the district tournament in singles first position, David Lins ’20, advanced to the state tournament as an individual qualifier. David also qualified for the state tournament in doubles along with partner Andrew Pereverzev ’21.

Congratulations on an excellent season, and Go Panthers!
