Heather Geronemus '97

A Pine Crest School alumna from the Class of 1997, Heather Geronemus trained as a professional ballerina while completing her Bachelor of Science in Marketing at New York University.

Heather began her professional career at Bloomberg in New York. In 2010, she moved back home to South Florida and joined Ultimate Software where she now serves on the public relations team for the firm. This role allows her to work directly with the media, the company's customers, and sales leaders across the continent.

As one of Broward County's young leaders, Heather is actively involved with the South Florida community. Her charitable commitment extends to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Broward's Ghost Light Society, the Cystic Fibrosis & Jack & Jill Children's Center's Friends Auxiliary Board, and the American Heart Association.

Her flagship commitment is to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Following the loss of her father to a drunk driver in 2009, she took a leadership role in Fort Lauderdale's MADD organization. She established and chaired the Annual Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale in 2011 and has received numerous awards for her efforts, including at the MADD's 2012 national conference where she was awarded the Linda Kitazaki Volunteer Fundraising Award.

Heather was honored to be named as one of South Florida Business Journal's "40 Under 40" in their 2014 Class. In her spare time, she is an avid runner and cyclist, and spends every minute possible with her friends and family in New York.
