Panthers Pounce on Patriots for Fifth Consecutive District Title

Brandon Knight poured in 35 points Friday night to propel our Panthers past American Heritage 80-71. The win gives our varsity basketball team bragging rights and a first-round bye in the district tournament which our School will host beginning February 10. Read the full story here.

Studio 75: A Disco Extravaganza!

For one electrifying night, Stacy Gym pulsated under the lights of Studio 75. Long  drapes, funky signs, bell-bottom pants, go-go boots, afro-wigs, feathered hair, leisure suits, and a few dancers in cages flipped partiers back to the 1970s. The revelers danced all night to tunes like “Disco Inferno,”  “I Will Survive,” and anything by The Bee Gees.

Staying Alive with CPR

Who would believe that "Staying Alive," the signature song of Rock 'n' Roll legends The Bee Gees, could help save a life?  Well, freshmen and sophomore boys in their health classes recently learned that the song has a beat that accelerates the heart to almost exactly 100 beats per minute – the same rate the American Heart Association recommends for chest compressions during CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).



Finkelstein Recipient of Comcast Leaders Scholarship

Senior Paige Finkelstein has been selected as a recipient of the 2010-11 Comcast Leaders and Achievers® Scholarship.  This award, funded through The Comcast Foundation, recognizes high school seniors from Comcast communities for commitment to community service, academic achievement, and demonstrated leadership.  



Sophomore Surprise!

Upper School students kicked balls, scurried around bases, and eventually took on faculty following a morning marathon of "rat ball" recently during Sophomore Surprise Day. Great job sophomores for organizing such a fun and spirited day!

Pre-K and Lower School Celebrate 100 Days

This year’s 100th day celebrations took on new meaning, adding a few more projects and fun activities. Fort Lauderdale second graders actually donned clothing symbolic of how they want to be remembered. There were rock stars, surgeons, presidents, motorcycle riders, entertainers, and scientists. First graders sprinted 100 yards on the football field (actually twice) to commemorate the event, and Pre-Primary students had a visit from Mr. O!

Panthers Take National Stage, Come Up Short

Our Panthers were thrust into the national spotlight Friday night as they took on Winter Park, FL on ESPN2. Unfortunately, Pine Crest lost 87-76, but it was a great showdown between two of the best guards in the country - our very own Brandon Knight and Austin Rivers. Boca's Basketball Teams Playoff Bound

It was a tough week for Boca’s “A” team. The boys’ 46-23 win over American Heritage on Wednesday was bookended by a 40-24 loss to PCFL on Tuesday and a 35-23 defeat at the hands of Saint Andrew’s on Thursday.
