CBS4 Executive Producer Miguel Fernandez sspent time in Pine Crest's PCTV studio recently and spoke to Upper School students. Miguel spoke about how to be a good intern in a television newsroom and what he looks for when hiring. He then answered questions from the students about the news industry.

|Pine Crest Students Take Part in the Hour of Code|
Pine Crest students in Lower, Middle, and Upper School took part in the Hour of Code last week. The Hour of Code is part of a global movement to introduce people to computer science, demystify code, and show that anyone can learn the basics. Pine Crest's event provided unique and engaging opportunities for faculty and students to collaborate and try new strategies to learn about coding.
|Fifth Graders Tackle Toothpick Bridge Building Project|
Fifth graders on Pine Crest's Fort Lauderdale campus recently competed in an exhilarating bridge building project where they worked in teams to design a bridge that would hold the most weight. The catch? The bridge must have been constructed with toothpicks!
|Pine Crest Students and Faculty Produce a Fabulous Rendition of "Gypsy"|
In November, more than 60 Pine Crest Lower, Middle, and Upper School students and faculty members came together to perform Pine Crest's annual musical, which was a rendition of the Broadway musical, "Gypsy" (1959). The show received enthusiastic applause from audience members and Cappies student reviewers.

|Pine Crest Fund Hosts Joint Volunteer Committee Meeting|
The Pine Crest Fund volunteers held a joint committee meeting this week on Pine Crest School's Boca Raton campus. The Boca Raton Middle School jazz ensemble opened the meeting with several outstanding group numbers and solos. Nel Bloom and Randi Schwartz, Chairs of the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale Pine Crest Fund Committees respectively, spoke of their appreciation for all the hard work that is done every day by each and every volunteer on behalf of our School.
