Eighth Graders Wrap Up Year with Electric Art
Eighth graders on Pine Crest's Fort Lauderdale campus wrapped up their study of electricity with a bang — and some flashing lights and moving parts, too! Students studied the usual topics of electricity, such as Ohm’s law, series and parallel circuits, and standard and common point schematic diagrams. “Usual” ended there, though.

Pine Crest Golfers Advance to State Tournament
After a successful day on the course during regional tournaments today, Pine Crest School girls golf team member, Samantha Haubenstock '16, and the boys golf team secured spots in the state tournaments.

Cross Country Had Success at Pre-State Meet
Congratulations to the Pine Crest Cross Country teams for their outstanding performances this past weekend at the FSU/Pre-State Invitational in Tallahassee. It was an amazing day for the girls and boys team as they continue to improve and get ready for the State Series. The girls and boys teams were selected to participate with 24 of the top teams in the state from all classifications in the Elite race. The girls, running without Seniors Katarina Stevanovich and Mahlet Yared still had a very good day finishing 6th overall with a 19:28 team average. The boys finished 18th overall but defeated 2 of the 3 other teams from Class 2A who were in the Elite race with a 17:00 team average. That team average was the best team average this year by 13 seconds and faster than the team average that the boys ran at State in 2013.

Triple Victory for Swim Team
Pine Crest Swimming and Diving got into the Homecoming Spirit at the Woodson pool with a triple victory. The boys scores were Pine Crest 118- Acrhbishop McCarthy 59; PC 130-Sagemont 39; PC 131- Somerset Prep 32. For the girls it was Pine Crest 135- Archbishop McCarthy 38; PC 143- Sagemont 26; PC 139- Somerset Prep 24. This brings the boys record to 8-5 and the girls to 12-0.

Pine Crest Golf Teams Place Second in District
Congratulations to Pine Crest's boys and girls golf teams for placing second at the district tournament at Cypress Country Club today. Both teams have earned a spot in the regional tournament on Monday, October 20 at Lago Mar Country Club. GO PANTHERS!

Pine Crest School Presents 'The Nutcracker'
Pine Crest School student dancers on the Boca Raton campus will present "The Nutcracker," an original ballet, on Friday, November 14 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, November 15 at 2 p.m. in the Parents' Association Performing Arts Center. The performance is free of charge, and tickets are not required.

Pine Crest School's Boca Raton Parents' Association welcomed more than 250 parents to its third annual "Food & Wine Bash." The event was held at Farmer's Table in Boca Raton.
