Pine Crest School's production of "Bye Bye Birdie" received five Cappies awards at an "Oscar-like" Gala held on Monday, May 19 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Awards included Best Choreography, Best Comic Actor in a Musical, Best Lead Actress in a Musical, and Best Marketing and Publicity.

Pine Crest School Seniors Recognized at Silver Knight Awards

Pine Crest School senior, Dillon Biddiscombe, received a Silver Knight Award in the math category at a ceremony held on Tuesday, May 20 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami. Seniors Laura Herman, Lance Oppenheim, and Ben Schecter received Honorable Mentions.

Based on their achievements at county and state science fairs, Brigitte Blanco '15 and Nicole Odzer '16 qualified to participate in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) in Los Angeles, which is the world's largest international pre-college science competition.

Eighth graders on Pine Crest's Fort Lauderdale campus wrapped up their study of electricity with a bang — and some flashing lights and moving parts, too! Students studied the usual topics of electricity, such as Ohm’s law, series and parallel circuits, and standard and common point schematic diagrams. “Usual” ended there, though.
