Starting from the very youngest children at the School, the arts program at Pine Crest is intended to be enriching, rewarding and integral to our accelerated and stimulating curriculum. Our program begins with the youngest children having regular exposure to music, visual arts, and dance. Many students take private instrumental or voice lessons offered at the school.

This program follows the children through the Middle School years and into Upper School. In Grades 6 - 9, students are required to study on a trimester basis an array of subject areas in the arts-music, visual arts, theater-as they take the compulsory enrichment sequence of those grade levels. Exciting electives in dance, orchestra, concert and jazz band, graphic design, studio art, music theory, sculpture and ceramics, drawing and painting, art history and more are available to students in the Middle and Upper Schools.

A wide range of musical experiences are available beginning with the youngest students learning to sing and play simple instruments. A strings orchestra program, choral singing groups, and several concert and jazz bands thrive at Pine Crest.

While strong academics are the cornerstone of a Pine Crest education, we also place great emphasis on the arts.
